This is subject to change, but here's a peek at the
story for my work in progress, Hidden Crimes.
Like Nate, Evina Mohajit is aware their flirtation can’t
lead to more. Still, she relishes trading banter with the sizzling hot
werewolf. This hard-working single mother hasn’t felt so female
since her twins’ baby daddy left to start his new family. Plus,
as a chief in Resurrection’s Fire Department, she understands the
demands of a dangerous job.

My red hot shapeshifter romance Hidden Talents is FREE at amazon.com through February 4, 2012. If you're a Kindle owner, click here to get it.
Don't have a Kindle but want to feel the freebie love? Here are some options:
1) Amazon has free reading apps for iPhone, Windows PC, Mac, Blackberry, iPad, Android and Windows Phone 7.
Here's the link for downloading.
Once you install the software on your PC or other device, you'll be able to read the free Hidden Talents file.
2) Download free ebook conversion software called Calibre here.
This program will convert mobi/prc files to epub and other formats. After you've done that, transfer the file from your computer onto your Nook or other device with a mini USB cable. Your device should include instructions in its manual for how to do this. The result may be slightly imperfect - as the bargain stores say - but perfectly readable. (Note: I tried this myself with a first generation e-ink/color Nook, and I could barely tell the difference between a formatted for Nook file.)
Hope you enjoy and please help spread the word. This freebie is only good until 2/4/12.
(The programs above aren't difficult, but please don't
ask me to be your Help Desk.
Print on demand cover for MOVE ME!
HIDDEN DEPTHS is out! Now working on companion short story, cuz I just couldn't get enough of these characters.
Here's a peek at the possible back cover for HIDDEN DEPTHS, an erotic paranormal romance set in the same general story world as HIDDEN TALENTS.
So . . . I'm going indie. I don't have a dramatic reason, just a growing frustration with my experiences in the traditional publishing system, along with a desire to reclaim the fun of storytelling. Writing is a great job. The people who do it should enjoy it as much as the people who read the results. I'm not saying my publisher prevented me from having fun. I'm just saying I was losing my creative excitement. Rather than let that continue, I decided to set out on this adventure.
What this means for my readers. Well, you'll probably see more Emma Holly books more often—and some new story worlds. I've already put out my fairytale-inspired novella, The Prince With No Heart, and am hard at work on an urban fantasy featuring werewolf cops. (Hidden Talents) With luck, I'll be able to release my latest demon world story, The Assassins' Lover, earlier than its originally scheduled Nov 2012 pub date.
For my fans who love books on paper. If you're not yet ready to go digital, rest assured I'm looking into print on demand options, especially CreateSpace, which makes print versions easily available through amazon.com. I'm told by authors who have used them that they look just like real books! :-)
Finally, I want to thank my loyal readers. Some of you have been with me since Ménage! You're a wild and wonderful bunch. I sincerely hope we'll be enjoying this new adventure for many years to come.
Best wishes and happy reading,
Nice things people say about Emma's books:
. . . red-hot to the wall."
Holly's name on the cover guarantees a smoking-hot read!"
